On the subject of name changes I agree with an above comment that there isn't really much need to, as I'm willing to bet most people recognise ammo in this game by the icon over the name so it doesn't really matter what they are called.Ĭlassic game logic tends to follow that the 9mm goes in the pistols and SMGs, the 7.something-or-other goes in the rifles and the 44. I might have gone on a bit of a rant there. Trash piles found in houses are the best locations to. Brass trophies, doorknobs, and even candlesticks can all be scrapped in the inventory or melted down in a Forge. Various junk made from brass can be found while scavenging houses, offices, and other points of interest. Ok, re-red the latter half of your comment. Here are 3 of the best ways to get Brass in 7 Days to Die: 1. "Of the four different types of ammo that look basically exactly the same I've found none of them will work in this one specific gun I have!"Īs that is a lot, lot less fun than trying to gun the ass down before he can kill me off first. But when an irradiated zombie cop is charging me down the last thing I want to find myself thinking is The less you have to worry about having the exact right type of ammo for one very specific type of weapon the more you can focus on other things that need your attention so when the blood moon comes you can be ready.Ī bit of realism in games is useful to help with things like understanding how things are meant to work and, of course, suspension of disbelief. The blunderbuss ammo ,and by extension, the blunderbuss itself, is soon (depending on your definition of 'soon') to be gotten rid of in the next update largely for this reason as its a single ammo that can only be used by the one gun. It also seems they are not a fan of, as it seems they see it, unnecessary ammo types that can only be used by only the one weapon. The changes farming has gone though over the years is one of the best examples that helps demonstrate this. It seems the devs of this game care more about making some parts of the game simpler for their players when it come to unnecessarily complicated details in this game, mostly so people can get back to the problem of not dying to zombies. While you knowledge of guns seems to be extensive your grammar could do with a bit of polishing. Also you could do with more use of full stops. As it makes the whole thing far easier to read and understand what you are going on about. I have faith that devs are going to see this discussion before launching the newest alpha, so they'll change this just to keep the order in names.įirst off, if you are going to type out this much please learn to make better use of commas and paragraphs. To make it clear, in my opinion adding new ammo type just for a few guns feels quite useless for me,in my opinion this game has to be fun, not that much of a hardcore gameplay experience, and I feel like devs think the same, as we can see in game mechanics e.g. By the way, is there any way to change existing names of ammos, I use personally mods that adds new custom guns, so it feels even more odd when you're using for example colt chambered in. 44 magnum, shotgun shells for shotgun shells of course, same for slugs and breach ammo, and of course for all variants of current ammo. Also why does the shotgun rounds caliber is not specified? My suggestion is to change ammo names to: pistol ammo for 9mm, rifle ammo for 7,62 ammo, heavy pistol ammo for. For the both sniper rifles it can be justified, as SVDS uses 7,62x54mm caliber, a lot of sniper rifles like remington, t5000, dvl-10,m21 as a lot of other bolt action rifles uses 7,62 NATO caliber, altough it is kinda strange for me to use 7.62 in the AR15 rifle (I know, there're conversion kits irl), but it feels for me bizarre to build an AR rifle during zombie apocalypse in Arizona in the USA, where army uses standard 5,56 cal, and where people have diffirent varioants of civilian rifles in this caliber. To craft 7.62mm Bullets click on any of the ingredients and select recipes then craft 7.62mm Bullet or click on the search bar in your crafting window and search for 7.62mm Bullet and select craft.7 days to die ammuniton names are quite inconsequent for me, like using 7,62 bullets both in tactical rifle kept in AR15 standard, ak47,machine gun, hunting rifle and heavy sniper rifle. 7.62mm Bullets have a maximum stack of 150 rounds. A 7.62mm Bullet can be scrapped or melted in a Forge to produce brass. It can be found in locations across 7 Days to Die, or crafted using Bullet Casings, Bullet Tips and Gunpowder. A 7.62mm Bullet is the ammunition used by the Pipe Rifle, Marksman Rifle, Hunting Rifle, Pipe Machine Gun, AK-47, Tactical Assult Rifle, and M60 Machine Gun.
